How Was Your Weekend

My blog header is all wonky today (thanks to Jane for the heads up). Not sure what to do about it. Ideas?

And moving on... So, did you have a good weekend? The weather here in Charleston was totally awesome, and it made for a great one. From Friday to Sunday night I celebrated my friend Danielle's wedding. We had so much fun but maaaan I can't hang like I used to. I blame it on turing 31.

I know, that photo (thanks to Gray for snapping) is way too cheesy to start your Monday. Sorry about that. But really it was great. I started it Friday morning with a meeting about an important cause that I'll tell you more about later. Then, I headed to King St for a few quick errands. One of which happened to be J.Crew. Have you all taken advantage of their 20% off all women's apparel sale yet? Just use "LOOK20" through Tuesday night. I couldn't resist picking up a few things. One of which not being this dress.

Not you say? Well it wasn't the right size. So I was thinking I'd just order it. I can't find this print online, but I do love both the coral and the turquoise colors. What do you think? Also, those shoes I have on happen to be J.Crew too, they're the pilar sandals. I love them so much and wear them all the time. I really like the neon coral color.

So then I swung by Aldo. Um, hello lovely summer wedges.

I always forget about Aldo. Such a shame. These are super fun too.

Who happened to see this white oversized Clare Vivier clutch on Shopbop Friday? If you didn't don't feel bad, it sold out in lightening speed (like by the end of the day). But I found it on the Clare Vivier site right here. It's pretty much the perfect summer clutch, y'all.

Freaking love it so much. Snake skin print goodness.

Alright, who knows how to fix my header??

Kate Spade Party

Somehow the week got away from me and I'm just getting around to sharing a few of the pictures I snapped before the Kate Spade New York + LLL event last weekend. We had an awesome time - thanks to all of you who came out!! I hope your mommas loved their prezzies.

I wore the Katie dress (my new favorite black dress!), pink Jacey heels, and the Pueblo Tiles necklace! And I love Jenna's blue Gingham wrap dress.

Pretty wallets all in a row. I never get the urge to swap out my wallet until I walk into the Kate Spade store...

Loved this red embroidered shift dress and there's those Jacey heels again (i really love them).

More pretty clothes up there, like that daisy franny coat (aka granny chic).

And I eyed that nude wrap watch the entire event. Love the hot pink edging!!

Another good time had by all while shopping yet another killer Kate Spade New York collection. Thanks to all who came out and supported!

To My Fellow Mommas With Independent Little Girls

Do yourselves a solid and hit up Old Navy's website (b/c they do not have all this good stuff in store, trust me, I was there yesterday) and pick up these cute and inexpensive dresses. If there is one thing I've learned it's that a fight in the morning over whether or not Lilly gets to wear a favorite dress is just not worth it. So I've invested in a bunch of $10 dresses that Lilly loves so that when she does want to throw one on to go get dirty in at the park, I don't really care so much. Plus this stuff is adorbs.

Shop all these dresses right here! And while you're there, pick up a romper or two. Another favorite.

These striped swimsuits in every color (they're only $7).

And Lilly's new favorite top.

Whew, summer wardrobe complete. Oh wait, not without Gap's rainbow striped dress. Lilly chose this to wear to school today.

So stinking cute. How lucky we are that there are so many cute and inexpensive options for girls. The boys? Not quite as much... But there are some things. You could always stock up on all the new summer pj's, too.

Okay, NOW we're all set. Throw some towels and sunscreen into this $19 pom pom tote and she's beach ready.

It comes in navy too, but I bought up the pink. Duh :)

LWD

So I have a thing about white dresses. I'm what I like to call a soft bodied woman (aka not so toned), so I have trouble with a lot of clothes that have thin fabric or are really sheer. And often times I struggle with finding the perfect little white dress. It needs to be sturdy or flowy. I think I've found her, thanks to a little ol amazing brand named Joie.

Isn't it a pure delight? And those bond girl sandals need to be in my closet. I mean. Gah. But since this post is supposed to be all about the little white dress... oh look I found 5 more.

And dare I say my favorite dressy LWD? The Shoshanna peplum.

Which is your favorite?

Quick note on the alc dress- I have two of their dresses in this same boxy shape. They're pretty much my go to's. Great brand, y'all.
